WOW! I HAVE RECEIVED SOME BLOGGING AWARDS!

This is pure jealousy! I saw some blogging awards proudly displayed on the sidebars of some blogs, and now I want to brag about the blogging awards I have won received. Well, not about all the blogging awards I have received – ‘coz that will take a lot of space, but just the most important ones as mentioned below. I am now seriously thinking about creating a new page here for properly displaying all those awards.

Versatile Blogger Award
Received from: Jitesh
Reason: I comment on ALL his posts.
Thanks Jitesh

Beautiful Blogger Award
Received from: Ritesh
Reason: I am his friend.
Thanks Ritesh

Cute Blogger Award
Received from: Gitesh
Reason: I am one of the three bloggers he knows. One of them has ‘awarded’ it to him. One is Gitesh himself. That leaves only me to receive it from him. Lucky me!
Thanks Gitesh

Sweet Blogger Award
Received from: Sitesh
Reason: The ‘rule’ of the award says that he needed to award it to fifteen bloggers! Being a yo-man desi, he screamed, “Holy molly ……… Jesus ……” and dived into WordPress. Then he ruthlessly awarded any blogger that came his way!
Thanks Sitesh

Mind-blowing Blogger Award
Received from: Mitesh
Reason: I had given him the coveted Versatile Blogger Award!
Thanks Mitesh

Kreativ Blogger Award
Received from: Nitesh
Reason: He landed on my blog at random. My blog url was skyisthelimit.wordpress.com and the display name at that time used to be ‘Sky’. For some reason he thought ‘Sky’ should be female. Hence some awards followed – Kreativ Blogger Award being the most prestigious of them all. Here is a list of all the blog awards he had given me before I changed the display name from ‘Sky’ to ‘Raja’ and moved the blog to this new url.
Thanks Nitesh

Beautiful Poet Blogger Award
Received from: Hitesh
Reason: Hitesh just had to present the ‘award’ to someone six, and he knew no one who writes poems! I take it from a different angle: may be he could see the brilliant poet that’s inside me.
Thanks Hitesh.

Now, you better congratulate me on receiving these truly prestigious awards, or I will give you a blogging award!

            • Hey Raja, just saw your comment…can you help me understand it better? I would love the feedback!! Thanks!! 🙂

              Comment by sands — May 27, 2010 @ 2:45 PM

              • The post seems too clichéd – in presenting the issue and in the flow of logic. I, for one, don’t quite see the relationship between kalpana Chawla going to space and this particular TV serial being absurd. That the trailer is baseless is obvious – and should NOT need an overdose of feminist sentiment and references to Jhansi-ki-rani & Kalpana Chawla. Just my honest opinion.

                Comment by Raja — May 27, 2010 @ 3:42 PM

                • Thanks, love the critique! I feel these things are not so obvious to many and by many I mean inclusive of well educated people, I have seen these tings happening in families very close to me as well, this serial will be appreciated by many! People need this realization that girls are not just born to get married and hence the examples…but yes, when I saw that promo the feminist in me did boil and did the post right away or maybe its just a rant!! 🙂
P.S. Please feel free to delete this conversation from your blog!!

  2. i didn’t get this at first. i do not have a blog and wasn’t aware of all these blog awards. so i had to do a little research after reading your post, and then re-read it

man, if any of your regular readers have those blog awards posted on their blogs, i am sure they are not going to show up on your blog again

the Nitesh-story is outright hilarious, but is very common. also, i couldnt stop luffing about the desi screaming holy-molly 😀

    Comment by Pranay — May 24, 2010 @ 4:45 PM

    • Thanks Pranay.
I hope none of my “regular readers” gets offended

    Comment by Sonali — May 25, 2010 @ 3:43 PM

    • Thanks 🙂
I did really have ‘received’ some of those ‘awards’ 😛
As long as the bloggers called it ‘tagging’, it was good but it wasn’t very popular. The term ‘award’ made it stupid, and popular!

    😉

    Enjoy the long weekend!

    Comment by Anirban — May 28, 2010 @ 4:20 PM

    • I’m sure Rabindranath would like a few of these ‘awards’ 😛
btw, it’s not the praise, if there is any in such ‘awards’, it’s the ‘proud’ display of these ‘awards’ that’s funny.

      Comment by Raja — May 29, 2010 @ 10:05 AM

  14. Where are the Jiteshs, Riteshs, Giteshs where my blogs are concerned?? I’d like some of those extremely important awards too. In answer to your comment on my blog on why the silence and no new posts, am busy ogling the beautiful scenery in Ireland and the internet connections are few and far between in the places we’re staying. Am gathering enough wool to last me a few blog posts when I get back home.
Thanks for asking, anyway. Nice to know someone misses my posts–awards or no awards!
